What we have now is a weaving of the many traditions that moved through these lands, rooted in the land itself, who is our greatest teacher.

We only have 9 days, so this work isn't intensive. We will look at how the British Empire has oppressed and suppressed the native traditions and cultures of Britain, and why we are so severely disconnected, and how the empire that we all benefit from is still colonising the world today, this never ended. We will look to colonial ways of thinking and behaving, and how to begin shifting them.

In Radiant Brow, you will be introduced to Rinwen, a seasonal centre for the sacred pathways of Britain. This will be for those of you who are devoted to this work.

Although Radiant Brow focuses on the land of Britain, we honour that many of the folkloric, mythic, and sacred traditions from Scotland have roots within a unique world that deserves its own realm of study. And though there are crossovers with the broader Brythonic, Celtic, and English traditions, we avoid lumping all of the ‘Celtic’ cultures under one umbrella.

Here, we focus on the folklore, myth, and spiritual traditions of Wales, England, Cornwall, and Brittany, which share similar cultural traditions, each of course having their own distinct traditions and roots that are complex with no through-line. Even if you were to look at what emerges from North England compared to South of England, they vary. Here we explore the Brythinic traditons, and the layered history that has birthed in English folk-tradition throughout time.

And of course, beyond culture, the more-than-human world and the spirits of place, the trees, our feathered, scaled, and furry friends, don’t care for cultural borders, and traverse the land of Britain as a whole.
