Stella Marie weaves story and embodiment to guide people into deeper relationship with landscape, voice and creative potential. A Welsh artist, storyteller and ritualist, she draws from the wisdom traditions of Wales and Britain.

This endeavour began when she tapped into her grief and longing for the rich, mythic culture buried within the depths of Wales's and Britain's suppressed historical past, while exploring her ancestral heritage across England and Wales.

Stella is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Illustration where her chosen project is focused on deep-mapping her local river, the River Taff. 

This project holds the importance of the mythopoetic imagination in a society that has lost its roots, exploring the correlation between the loss of our connection to our imagination and our severing from our relationships with the more-than-human world. Stella looks at how embodied mythology and oral traditions can support us in heritage reclamation, our own ecological stories, and the visionary imagination, and the threads that weave these together.

Stella’s work invites you to discover the meaning behind the Awen; an ancient Welsh word rooted within the divinely inspired breath of story, poetry, myth, language, and the land. 

Stella's musical history is rooted in underground rap and hip-hop.
