Meet your Guide

Stella is a Welsh storyteller, ceremonialist and artist, currently completing a Master's Degree in Illustration and Animation, with a practice-based research project exploring animistic relationships with landscape through her local river valley.

For over 9 years, Stella has been researching the mythic and mystic traditions of Wales and Britain through historical sources, folklore collections, literature, landscape study and embodied practice, to connect & find belonging within her Welsh & English heritage.

This endeavour began when she tapped into her grief and longing for the rich, mythic culture buried within the depths of Wales's and Britain's suppressed historical past.

Stella runs a podcast, hosts in-person gatherings and events at sacred sites, and holds ceremonies where she is from in South Wales. Over the years, Stella has brought together artists, historians, folklorists and practitioners to explore these traditions from multiple perspectives.

The Fairy-Faith was coined by anthropologist and folklorist Walter Evans-Wentz, who in 1911, travelled the furthest parts of the Celtic world to talk to the oldest people about real living faery accounts, alongside Walter there are many other folklorists collecting these tales and beliefs. This is the tradition you are stepping into today... alongside exploring ancient myths that were told long before we had a written language upon these lands.
